Shark Liver Oil is a dietary supplement that has been used for centuries by seafaring individuals.  Scandinavian fishermen have used it since the 16th century and it is mentioned in the early writings of the Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Chinese and Japanese peoples.  Shark Liver Oil is a rich source of a variety of nutrients, including vitamins A, D and E, as well as the Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.

The sharks used in this product are harvested for food purposes, with the liver oil being a by-product.  NOW® Shark Liver Oil is derived by steam distillation and is formulated in a preservative-free softgel.  The shark liver oil used in this softgel is concentrated for Vitamin A content.  The alkylglycerol value is not measured.
